Hi Every One,
I am new in this forum. I am working as a business analyst in an offshore development company. The nature of my job is to communicate with foreign clients through emails or instant messages. Now my problem is i am not good in English and a poor communication skill :(. Hope so this forum will help me. I really want to improve my English and communication skills.

Thanks for your reply. I am student and doing a part time job so i dont have enough time. In my spare time i like to read articls on internet and try to chat with my friends in english. But i realy want to improve my communication skills in english. Could you please help in this regard like how to start a conversation with a new client or a proper way to ask/request some thing from the client.

Hi Rubab,

You need to listen to authentic English on a daily basis. Analyze how native speakers interact with other and copy them. Do you have access to authentic spoken English?

Where did you come across the term "institutional filiation"? By the way, you don't need more time to surround yourself with English you just need some motivation and creativity.

They probably meant your "institutional affiliation" -- in other words, they wanted to know your current status in relation to the university. Maybe they wanted to know who is paying for your program.
