Hi

Do you find the follwing sentence correct and natural? It was spoken at Pizza Hut.
Quote:
Is the home delivery available?

Or
Quote:
Do you provide home delivery?

Hi Tom

The most typical question would be "Do you deliver?"

To me, both of your sentences are a little unusual, but I assume you are primarily focused on the usage of 'the'. Here is how I would interpret the usage:

1. Is the home delivery available?
It sounds as though the words 'home delivery' had been used in an advertisement stating that 'home delivery' is available at most Pizza Huts. The person knows that 'delivery' may well be possible, and wants to know whether the advertised service is provided by a particular Pizza Hut.

2. Do you provide home delivery?
The person has no idea whether any Pizza Hut delivers.
