About two weeks ago, my kitchen clock's battery ran out, and it stopped at 7:46.

Last night, having no idea what time it was, I decided to go downstairs and change the battery. Once I had done that, I took the clock over to a different clock in another room to adjust the time. I didn't have to, because the time was exactly 7:46.

Have you ever had that sort of coincidence?

If you want to know my opinion about that then I think what happened to you proves once again that there is no coincidence in this world. Everything we do and we see has some heavenly logic, that a human brain is unable to comprehend.

I am sure you will not agree with me though :-)

You guessed wrong. I agree with you, although I don't think this particular coincidence is an illustration of that.

Then in what do you agree with me? Are you saying that my general approach is not applicable to that clock coincidence?

I believe that everything has its own divine logic that finite human minds can't comprehend. I just don't believe there was any meaning to my coincidence.

Do you usually speak about your belief in such forums? Since, it is not commonly accepted to ask about people's faith in your society, I do not want to do that overtly, but it would be interesting to know what you think about life after death... Please, ignore this question if you do not want to discuss this or reply to it...

I think the soul lives after it leaves the body and that where it goes and what happens to it depends on how it chose to live when it was on earth.

Most Americans are religious.

In my experience, most Russian intellectuals don't have to believe in God, because they believe that a small number or oligarchs controls the universe. :D
