Hai all, I am a new member to the forum. I have completed my degree in India and on h4 visa in the US. I want to take the gre and I was wondering if I should take a prep course or do a self study. My english and math are decent enough(not bad). Will a prep course boost my score?

Hi GRE Mind,

Welcome to english-test.net! It would be good if you could tell me a little bit more about your situation so I can answer your question. For example, what kind of learner are you -- can you concentrate for a longer period of time when you are alone or do you need a group that motivates you to learn? Also, how much time do you spend reading articles that are related to the subjects you want to study?

Regards,
Torsten

Thank you for the reply. I have started preparing few days back and i am doing the barron's high frequency words. I try to spend an hour on that everyday. I had not been studying for the past two years and I feel a bit difficult to stay motivated (had been thinking about taking gre for a long time). I have not fixed the exam date yet and I have a lot of time in hand.
