Hi,

I'm reading a book in which on the same page both these compound nouns occur: crossword puzzles and crosswords puzzles. Is there any difference between them? I'm a bit puzzled.

Thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten

It should be "crossword puzzles".

I've never heard anyone say "crosswords puzzles". That looks like a typo to me.

However, I have heard people shorten "crossword puzzles" to just "crosswords" on occasion.
