Hi All,

I want to replace the word good in the below sentence. With which word should I replace it?

Yes, I have some news about this issue but it isn't good for you I think.

- Yes, I have some news about this issue but it isn't joyful for you I think.
- Yes, I have some news about this issue but it isn't gladsome for you I think.
- Yes, I have some news about this issue but it isn't delectable for you I think.
- Yes, I have some news about this issue but it isn't joyous for you I think.

I think the way this is phrased sounds a little awkward. It would be more natural to say "Yes, I have had some news about this issue, but I don't think it is/will be good for you".

As far as replacing the word 'good', perhaps you could say beneficial? Or simply "but I don't think you will like it". This depends on the context.

I hope this helps :)

"Good" is the best choice there. "Joyous" is a little too joyful for the situation. "Delectable" is an adjective applied to food or to women who are sexy. I have never heard anyone use the word "gladsome" in my entire life.
