for the idiom think over, is it proper to put the direct object (think the situation over/think over the situation) after think over or between the words think and over.

.
Dress down:
a. to reprimand; scold.
b. to thrash; beat.
c. to dress informally or less formally: 'to dress down for the shipboard luau'.

think the situation over/think over the situation -- Both of these are fine. The noun can take either position, although a pronoun can only go between: think it over.
