Meaning of sneaky #1 (permalink) Wed Feb 09, 2005 5:11 am   Meaning of sneaky

I found that one of the definitions of this word reads:
marked by quiet and caution and secrecy, taking pains to avoid being obseve.

In this description, what the underlined expression means?

Meaning of taking pains #2 (permalink) Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:21 am   Meaning of taking pains

To take pains means to try very hard to achieve something. Going to great lengths might be similar to taking pains.
Please mind that you definition should read ... being observed.
