There are some vebs that can not be used in progressive tense such as want ,love , like, taste , understand, ....etc.
The question is why in this sentence the verb is in progressive?

1) " Cosequently, I'm hearing very well at the moment."

2) " If you're wantingto know what the paly was about, you must guess it from the title:Mother knows best."

Hi,

'I am hearing very well' taken I believe from something I've written for the site? would suggest: at the moment my ears are working well and I can hear perfectly.

Hi Sultano,

I think the expression "If you're wanting to know" is only used in 'Indian English'. The standard phrase is 'If you want to know...' since the verb 'want' is a stative verb that doesn't have a progressive form.
