. 'Evaporate' is generally used of natural and scientific processes and processes that are slower; 'vaporize' tends to be used of more dynamic processes and in science fiction stories.

Excuse me, but could you please be more specific about it? and if possible, please give me some examples so I can understand their usage clearly Many thanks Nessie _________________ :(... something we never have again, I know... I guess I really really know.. :(

Hi Nessie
I would suggest that you bookmark the British National Corpus (BNC) site: http://www.natcorp.ox.ac.uk/
In the small box next to the words Look up: you can type in a word or phrase you're interested in, then hit the 'enter key' on your keyboard, and the BNC will deliver samples of (British) usage in sentences. These are the results I got for the word 'evaporated', for example:
