which prep material/cd reflects the nearest GRE® quant score?

Hi,

I tried using a couple of materials. On Kaplan and Princeton tests I am scoring very low on quant section. But when I took the ETS power prep test, it came to 760, though I had made mistakes early in the test even!

Can I believe in powerprep test score? And even if i make similar mistake early in the beginning of the quant section, will it be similar to the power prep score??I am confused as some books say that if you make mistake in the first 10 questions, the score is going to be pathetically low! Is it so?

And for that matter, I find the GRE 10th Edition published by ETS themselves very very easy! Which would be the nearest bet? Are the quant questions just comparable to the GRE 10th Edition book?

I do not think so. I never tried the GRE but had a chance to look to some real GRE questions and where amazingly different from those published by ETS. You have better consider all of possible tricks.

Powerprep beleive it or not is very accurate of your actually test score...the fluctaions only depend on how much luck was involved..so you need take it more than once as well as other tests..when those tests are giveing you a consistent score across the board, then you will KNOW if you are prepped to get that score or it was sheerluck..

If you get few wrong early ,its doesnt mean a bad score, just means you need to do a lot more work to come up out of the CAT litterbox..so a few wrong upfront can be compensate for by getting everything after that RIGHT!!
