Dears:

I know 'lay' is as a verb, 'layout' is as a noun, but in PCB industry, people use 'layout PCB' or 'PCB layout' in common, they don't say 'lay PCB'. Further more, if they have to make a PCB layout again, 'PCB re-layout' or 're-layout PCB' is what they use. That make me more confused of the grammer of 're-layout'. in addition, 'relayout' or 're-layout' ?

After all, please provide me the right answer for below sentences.

1) I need to layout PCB
2) I need to re-layout PCB

Hi,

I would suggest:

1) I need to LAY OUT PCB
2) I need to LAY OUT PCB AGAIN.

Thank you very much, lee12jan, but could you please explain more about the whole sentence "I need to LAY OUT PCB"? (you know, I'm not very good at English in technological fields)

'PCB' is the printed circuit board that you can find inside the electrical products as PC & mobile phone & LCD TV & ....etc. Thus, 'PCB layout' is the process of production at the factory.
