I said "Nice to meet you" to a stranger whom I met in a bookstore. He said "You too".
I thought over why he said that. I figured it was because, "Nice to meet you" is short for "It's nice to meet you" and by "You too" he meant "It's nice to meet you too"
Please correct me if I am wrong. _________________ Non-native speaker of English
