multiple choice question: Is he the very man ...? #1 (permalink) Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:44 pm   multiple choice question: Is he the very man ...?

1/ Is he the very man ...?

a. to be looking for
b. to have looked for
c. to be seen
d. to look for

=> the answer for this is d, but I personally think both c and d are ok. Am I right or wrong and why?

2/ can "1/4" be read "a forth"?

Answer 'a' would work too. Yes, 1/4 can be read as 'a fourth' or 'one 'fourth'.
