Regardless of the subject, what is the correct structure? From all the samples I can see...I suppose you're expected to start and close the essay with similar ideas, something like...
In my opinion, potatoes are better than tomatoes because blablabla.....
in the first place........
Moreover.......
In conclusion, potatoes are better than tomatoes because of the reasons mentions above.
would that be a correct structure? Am I missing something??
Please, I've never written essays in the "American way" so I do need loads of help...! |
I'm gonna brag ... my pieces of writing got a full 30 so hear me out:
1st par. - general statement about the topic; restate it
2nd par. - personal opinion: I reckon that, I believe that, As far as I'm concerned
3rd A pro opinion, followed by 1 or 2 disadvantages (you may split this in 2 paragraphs)
4th paragraph - conclusion; NO new ideas; restate your work so far and end it nicely with something impersonal: X files -the truth is out there ... |
