I guess I will start it. But what about lunch? It's a bit tedious and troublesome to go on vegetables and fruits diet. As you know, it's not popular in M'sia so those food are not easily find here. Do you normally take your lunch box to work? I seriously think I should lose some weight now!!

If you want to lose some weight, I don't recommend doing detox. I do it to maintain healthy skin. The best way to lose weight is to exercise and a balance diet. But I know it's hard to have a balance diet, especially if you are not a 'princess' and have everything served to you.

I used to bring my own lunch but I ended up not eating them most of the time. I know it's a bad habit but it's just too troublesome, especially when I'm too busy. So now I just skip lunch but I make sure I take breakfast. And around 3 p.m. when I get very hungry I eat chocolate. I always have chocolate in my desk. Everyone in the office has some food stored, because we stay late and just cannot have early dinner. But I do get tired of chocolate sometimes so I just do without until I can have dinner at home.

So you see how detox makes my life easier, all I have to do when I'm hungry is go to the vending machine and buy vegetable juice. It is very convenient here, we have tomato juice, green vegetables only juice, red vegetables only juice, purple vegetables only juice, yellow vegetables only juice, fruit mixed juice, vegetables mixed juice and many more.

But I know in Malaysia it is not that convenient so maybe you have to come up with a plan. Maybe bring some from home. Thing with homemade juice is you cannot store it too long. But I believe there are ways, search for websites on detox for guidelines to make it convenient to you.If you are really determined to do detox, I suggest you do a research on it first and see how it'll fit or how far you are willing to change your lifestyle.

But I don't recommend you drink fruit juice if you want to lose weight. It's full of sugar! Even though they are from natural sources, they are still sugar and they will not help you lose weight. But they are REALLY good for the skin. The first time I did it, I did it for a month, the change I had with my skin was amazing. Then I reduce it gradually to once a week. I have been doing it for 2 years now. It has become a habit. Good luck!

I know exercise is the best way!! But I just couldnt move my ass from the couch!! I love watching Korean/ HK movies (especially those drama series)!! Sigh... The least I should do is to watch English movies as I want to work on my English!! But... but... Korean & HK movies are just catching my interest, too hard to keep my eyes off from it!! :(

I love chocolates too!! It makes me happier when I'm depressed!! I don't know, but I think chocolate is girls' best friend!! And probably I love them too much until I putted on some weight!! :( However, I don't think it's a good habit for you to eat chocolates only when you are hungry!! The feeling and the satisfaction you get from a full meal and chocolate are just not the same!! In long run, it may affect your health though!! (I can imagine you must be very skinny)

:o That's so nice!! Really convenient!! I once tried to drink only fruit juices in the morning and eat other food only after 12pm. But I'm not discipline enough and I've lately given it up because it's just too inconvenient to run to the shop to buy fruit juice every morning!! How do I wish if there's such a vending machine here!!

I think as much too!! My purpose to drink fruit juice in the morning was to lose weigh!! But I didn't see good results even after 1-2 months!! A wrong method again!! I'm not that particular about my skin but my weight!! Gosh... I have been on diet off and on since the last 10 years!! "Diet" - I think I can't get rid myself from this word for many other coming years!!

I'm not really into Korean series, but I used to love HK movies and dramas. I loved Aaron Kwok and Andy Lau. That was when we were in standard 4 I guess, I think they could be our grandpas now.

And if you love watching them so much why not try watching them with English subtitiles? I thought Malaysian TVs have this. When my sisters watched the Japanese cartoon Chibi Maruko Chan (by the way, I LOVE this brat, believe me, watching it in Japanese is way more fun) or Doraemon, they watched it with English subtitles.

I especially love them in winter! I don't think chocolate can make you gain weight. It's the lack of exercising. Eat all you want, (which I think cannot be as much, right?) but gal, you have to move your butt! It doesn't matter whether we are underweight or overweight, exercise is a must. Some people, eventhough they exercise regularly, they still do not have the perfect god/goddess bod (usually older people) but they get to be healthy or reduce the risk of getting major illnesses like clogged arteries etc. A lot of people think they have to exercise only if they had gained weight. That is very wrong.

Only my tooth! Don't get me wrong. I am not stupid, I eat  How do you think I live all this while? You are right about the feeling of having a full meal, but when you live alone, it's not the same. Eating feels like a chore. It's different when I'm home in Malaysia. I gain weight every time I came back from Malaysia. Just love my mother's cooking! My favourite is steamed Sultan fish! Yum, yum...

Just eat when you feel like to and exercise regularly. Take up sports that might keep you interested and maybe you can get your collegue to join you. Here every Tuesday we (the not so 'workaholic' ones, heh) play Badminton at 8 p.m. in the gym. In Japan, people, men and women are not obsess about their weight, but their BMI. Getting fat is like out of question here. At the university I went to here, every year, when we had our medical checkup, my GUY friends got secretive when I asked them what was their BMI.

It seems to me that you are very comfortable with yourself. I don't think you should force yourself doing things that you don't like. And I hope you aren't like those girls who exaggerate about their weight, you know, when they look perfectly normal but they think they are fat.

The important thing is to be healthy. If you stick to this, I am sure you'd start doing the right things i.e. exercising and eating.

I did like them as well when I was in primary school. I used to tell people my dad looks like Aaron Kwok. But the feelings for them had faded away in time! When I'm growing older, I dont fancy celebrities as much as last time though!

Is Chibi Maruko Chan the same with Crayon Sin Chan? (Probably not) :? I like to watch crayon sinchan. He is just a raskal and it's fun to see how he responded to the parents and the sexy kakak. :P I usually turn on the English subtitle when I'm watching DVDs, but sometimes the subtitles are just so off. (as you know, many dvds here are the pirated versions) Those Chinese/ Korean/ Japanese movies show on TV are not having English subtitles as it's all in Bahasa instead. Except Malay movies then you can see the good translation. And I think the English subtitles on Malay movies are only appeared on the screen not too long ago.

I know Nina. In fact my other half always tell me this too! I used to go to the gym once a week and I somehow or rather became lazy again after few months. I guess I got to stick on excercising again.

Glad to hear that!! :) No doubts, mummy's dishes are the best and the "yummiest" in the world!! Own cook dishes also not bad!!

My BMI is actually within the average range. Not the underweight or obbess range. But I wish to tone up a bit at the arms and tights parts. I know - exercise will do all!! Gambate neh...

God, help us no. How on earth do you like Sin Chan? He's such a perv! And his baby sister Himawari is just too disturbing for me.

Okay, here's Maruko-Chan for you. This clip has Mandarin subtitle.

Other than Maruko-Chan I love Hanawa-Kun, the rich kid in this cartoon. He is such a gentleman and always calling his girl friends in the class "Baby" or "Oh baby..." . Almost all the girls in the their class are in love with Hanawa-kun but not Maru-Chan. And I think you'll love her more than Sin-Chan. What I love about her the most is, when she does something she knows isn't so nice, she doesn't feel guilty about it , instead she feels guilty for not feeling guilty over something she should be feeling guilty about. I think she's hilarious.

I assume you like cooking. I have to admit, it is not really my thing. I am the Queen of burning things. I don't only burn the food that I cook, but I once burned my face! It was before we took PMR, I was helping my mother in the kitchen, baking. She wanted me to check whether there was still gas left in the oven (old style oven) but I misheard her and thought that she wanted me to lit up the fire. I thought it was rather odd because I could still smell the gas. I asked her again but I still misheard her, so I lit the oven up. Then BOOM! The fire went blazing up to my face. I froze, my mother screamed. She came running to me and hugged me. I think I could never forget the fear I saw in my mother's eye that day. My father who was reading on the dining table knocked the chair down. I remember them screaming to each other because my mother wanted to put gamat oil on my face but my father wanted to put me under the running tap. It was so touching I couldn't help crying, but the tears were hurting my face! Really, it was quite surreal. I never imagined that they loved me that much. I never saw them screaming at each other and suddenly they were on top of their lungs fussing over me. They rushed me to a clinic and the doctor said it was quick thinking of my mother to put gamat oil on me, or else my skin would be damaged. For a month or so I didn't have a single hair on my face and arms, no eyebrows nothing. Quite funny if I think about it now. I don't think I will ever forget that. I am just glad I managed to close my eyes in the nick of time. Fewh!

I do push ups and one thigh toning exercise that the trainer in the gym I work out taught me. I have been trying for ages to get slimmer thighs. Gambarou!

Oh Gosh!! What a coincidence!!! I must be something not right too to describe my dad looks like Aaron Kwok. But some people still remember it even till now, it's quite embarassing though when they bring it up again!!

I watched Maruko Chan too... Both also I like it!! But Maruko is more decent compare to SinChan!! :) Probably I was a a big time rascal too when I was young, thus just got a special feeling when I watch SinChan!! Haha...

Yeah, I cook!! In fact I enjoy cooking. Chinese dishes and bakery are my favourite!! I especially enjoy it when I see my loved ones eating the dishes cooked by me!! The feelings are just words cant describe - satisfaction and sweet probably?

Oh god, thank godness you are not seriously hurt!! I can't imagine that!! Your parents must be shocked & fainthearted until they stop breathing!! It would scare me to the hell... Luckily your parents are quick enough to send you for hospitalization and they were home with you!! You are the fortunate in the unfortunate!!

Hi Yen! Sorry for this late reply. But things are quite crazy here. I am going back to Malaysia in two weeks, so I've been working very late lately, to finish the tasks before I fly home...(yippy!). I get to be in Malaysia for about a week only, sigh..but I get to see my 2-year-old niece and nephew. I am so happy, ecstatic actually. She sounded so cute over the phone, if I meet her later, I think I could eat her!

Well, it should I guess, but exercise has more of a psycological effect on me. If I don't do it I feel weak, because I think if I don't exercise I'd feel weaker, but actually I feel guilty, because other than family and work, health is upmost important to me.
