Supply or provide? #1 (permalink) Tue Apr 01, 2008 7:07 am   Supply or provide?

Hi!
Please have a look at this sentence:
These rivers ...... water from farming.
A- provide B-supply
C-equip D-offer
Which is correct?
And can you tell me what is the difference between 'to provide something for somebody' and 'to supply something to somebody' ?
Sometimes I see people write 'to supply/provide somebody with something'. So is that correct?
Thanks in advance.
Rebecca
