What if we change it to this: She said that any can she had had had had its own unique personality, will it work? Smile
Hi Alex

That was only two back-to-back present perfects. Laughing

Believe it or not, I thought about changing that conglomeration a little (e.g. to "we've ever owned has had") before I posted. In the end, I decided to leave all the haves there as a parsing challenge. Laughing

Hi Amy, Alex, Yen,Nina and surely Slava Wink

I'm too late with my comments on the changes introduced as you have covered enough ground. But what nags me a tad is the relocation of the avatars from left to right.Possibly, it's a matter of habit. I'm looking forward to not paying a hoot of attention to it. Smile

P.S. I am now trying to thoroughly scrutinize the updates. Cool

Although I originally posted this question in a different thread, I guess it would be better to post it here.

Do any of you see the option 'preview' when you use the 'post reply' button or the 'answer' button? When I use either one of those buttons in order to get a window to type my reply in, the only option I see when I'm ready to post my reply is 'Send message'.

It's apparently only possible to preview your post if you use the 'quick reply' box.
However, I'm pretty sure the 'preview' option was available before the latest change in the forum.

Is the disappearance of the 'preview' button intentional? Is it a bug or maybe something related only to my particular PC? Or am I just plain remembering wrong? Laughing

I clearly remember having seen that button before the renovation, Amy. But now I can't see it.

Hey! You guys were unbelievably speedy with that fix! I can see the preview button again now. And it works!

Was that your wizardry, Slava? Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Could you please tell us whether you prefer the 'send message' button left to the 'preview' button as it is now or vice versa? In other words, what's more logical -- to put the 'send message' before the 'preview' button or the other way round?

Many thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

As to me, the initial location of the button was better. But in general, there isn't much difference to me. Wink

Torsten,

Have you ever considered putting a checkbox for "Hide my status"(or unhide me) like the one we have for "Log me on automatically each visit"?

Or maybe create a button for that particular function? I think it will be quite handy.

Nina

Hi Nina
Did you know that there is a 'hide my online status' function in your profile settings?

I have chosen to hide my online status because I often get called away from my PC when I am logged in. So, sometimes it might only be my PC that is online -- I might be elsewhere for hours at a time. Laughing

Hi Torsten
I have no particular preference for the location of the 'preview' button. I'm happy as a clam at high tide just having that button again. Very Happy

If I'm not mistaken, if you don't refresh/open pages on this site for more than 5 minutes, the site software automatically marks you as "absent", and you are not counted as "present" Smile .

Hi Amy,

Thanks for the feedback. I am fully aware of the function in the profile setting but what I suggested was to have a special button like the one we have for Log in or Log out up there.

I experienced many times where I had to answer phone calls while replying posts. With the current function we have, I can't go changing my status without losing the reply I just wrote, right? So I think it will be awesome if we have "Hide me/Unhide me" button up there. So whenever I am in the middle of writing posts and had to go attend to some other things, I just can hide myself, without losing my post.

Of course it was just a suggestion. If most of us are comfortable with the current function then I don't mind putting up with a slight inconvenience. It won't stop me from writing replies...ahakss Wink
