Dear Alan, my TOEFL test is going to be soon, write comments on my essay. how much score i can get for this one?
Your school has enough money to purchase either computer for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy?
The issue stated by the topic here is that if a school has enough money, whether it should purchase books for the students or computers for them? This is an important issue as in todays hi-tech world computers are replacing books and internet is replacing the library . In my opinion if the school has enough money it should invest in computers.
In todays hi tech world the knowledge of computers is mandatory. Any job or higher education would require certain basic computer skills. So it is best if school students get exposed to computers as early as possible. Today the knowledge of computers is just like knowing how to read and write.
Knowing how to use computers and the internet makes study very simple. It would be a waste of time and energy to look through a huge pile of books in the library without the assurity that you would get the information that you are looking for. A simple search on the internet would give a precise result on the information we are looking for. This would make us very productive in our work.
Study and research would be very interesting, correct and up to date as at any point in time you would have access to information from any parrt of the world. So your knowledge is at par with the developments any where in the world. You can have easy or immediate access to any research done in for example in the US sitting here in India! You dont have to wait for a book to be published and a copy of it sent to you.
In conclusion it would be wise for a school to invest in computers rather than books as computer knowledge is of utmost importance today and the school would be grooming their student in the correct direction by exposing them to computers.
