Make sure Thu Feb 19, 2004 14:33 pm  Make sure

Hi Student,

The expression 'make sure' means 'be assured' or 'make certain'. In a sentence this would be:

If you travel to another country, you want to make sure that you have taken your passport with you.

Alan
