Hi,

I read the following sentence in a book. I don’t understand why there is no ‘the’ before ‘company letterhead’.

‘To speed up an acquisition project, John uses a report from another firm working on the project, and he prints the report on company letterhead, signs it, and mails it to the stockholders.’

Thanks,

MG.

.
'Letterhead' is uncountable here: it is a type of stationery (also uncountable).

Mister Micawber,

Thanks.
I know that Letterhead is uncountable, but it is specific too. That is why I was wondering whether it should take 'the' as an article.

Possible, but not required.

I write on (the) company stationery.
