In the following sentence 'Tarvan' is the brand name of a drug. Why does the sentence not read '...same client that produces Tarvan...'?

My client, same client as Tarvan, makes a similar drug that was popular until twelve months ago when Dyloft hit the market.

.
First, good English virtually always requires the before same.

Second, I agree that the phraseology is wrong; but should it be 'the same client that produces Tarvan' or 'the same client as Tarvan's client'? or ?

I can't tell from the context, though I am sure you can.

Maybe it's just casual spoken English. Yes, Tarvan is supposed to be the name of a drug not a company.
