Hi Giang93,

I think probably this sentence needs a different preposition:
Quote:
The melting of the snow has caused flooding by......rivers

I would suggest: The melting of the snow has caused flooding from the swollen rivers In other words: first the snow melted and as a result the rivers swelled and as a consequence of that there was flooding.

I assume you're familiar with the verb: swell/swelled/swollen meaning 'get bigger'.

Hope that helps.

Alan

Hi Giang,

Could you please do me a favour and read why is a meaningful message title so important? As you can see, we have changed the title of your thread.

Please let me know what you think.
Many thanks,
Torsten
