Rude about vs rude to?

Put a correct preposition to the blank:
1.I didn't realise she was the author so I was so rude ...... his new book.
I look ''rude'' up in the dictionary and find that it has to do with ''to'' but I think ''about'' is more appropriate.
Is this true? Please give me your opinion

Hi Duc,

'Rude about' is less specific than 'rude to'. You can be rude about someone behind their back but rude to when you are face to face.
