.
List = A series of names, words, or other items written, printed, or imagined one after the other: a shopping list; a guest list; a list of things to do. An ordered series: a series of related words, names, numbers, or other items that are arranged in order, one after the other-- a list of people to call

Does that help you, Guest?

.
In an isolated sentence, you could certainly use 'note', but this question seems to be part of the topic of 'Shopping', for which we make a 'list'.
