Currently Human Resources experts are pointing out that a third language can be decisive for a job seeker.Chinese, Arabic, German, Russian, Spanish...Have you ever decided?

Do we need a third language? Thu Apr 24, 2008 8:42 am  Do we need a third language?

Living ina country that has close relationship with Rusiia I know Russian almost as a native language and I simply can't imagine my life without it.On the other hand nowadays it's difficult to do without English. Thus I need both of them to realize my ambitions and get a good job in my country or abroad.
I think a third language is nessesary. It depends on what conditions you live or work in.

A third language is probably mainly necessary if you're not a native English speaker. People from non-English-speaking countries usually have to learn English as their second language, and some other language as the third. (That can differ if some non-English-speaking country is dominant in your region.) For you, the third language is our second language.

There are so many Chinese students of English major, employment pressure is increasing which require them to grasp a third language.Nowadys, Koreans and Japanese are becoming more and more popular.

Students majoring in Korean or Japanese can get a job right after graduation and in fact many of them have been promised by some companies the minute they enter the university.

Of course the number of students studying French, German, Arabs is rather slim. But When a thing is scarce, it is precious.Such kinda students can be called "honey"
