Hi,

I donīt know why but a bromide I recently read on this site brought me up that question. Sorry Ralf (no offend towards you) but your saying : "modesty will speed your wings" was the one.

Now, when one is trying to advise you your limits how do you counter, or donīt you do anything at all? I mean, one way to reply might be:

"modesty will speed your wings, ....... but the rest of my body possibly canīt follow" Rolling Eyes

Please let me know what you think

Hi Ralf,

that wasnīt my wisdom but an attempt to fit a commonly known addition from a German saying (sounds: modesty is an adornment but improvement is easier without it) to your truism. Iīd say my appendage shows all the wisdom of my ancient. Rolling Eyes

I must say Iīm proud to belong to a people whoīs able to create bromides like:

If the cock crows on the bullocks the weather remains unchanged or varies!!!!!! Very Happy

Regards

Not sure about the ancient heritage, but you never look a gift horse in the mouth, as they say Wink
