2 verbs in participle? #32 (permalink) Fri May 09, 2008 11:33 am   2 verbs in participle?

This debate seems very interesting, but I still need an point-blank answer for my question:
Is my original sentence acceptable in standard English?
and:
Could the title of this thread be somehow "2 verbs in participle form/..."?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Nessie

You can use the past perfect twice in your original sentence, but it really isn't necessary.

What do you understand "2 verbs in participle form" to mean"? Weren't you were asking about two usages of the past perfect in one sentence? Confused
.

How would you render that sentence?
