Hi Nazia,
How are things today in Calgary? Many thanks for joining our forum -- no need to be frustrated as you can practice and improve your language skills any time. Please tell me a little bit more about yourself. Why did you move to Canada and what do you do?

Hi there Nazia. Don't worry about it. Everythings gonna be fine after a few days. This is exactly what happened to me while I was studying in Melbourne. So what I did was talking to children and older people. I know it sounds funny, but its effective, trust me. More on that, I guess there are some story books with audio listening in the language center of your University, that helps a great deal too. For your writing, its the easy part. There are some writing techniques u know. Like the thesis statement, topic sentence and all these. Just master in these things and you are on your way to make it better. You can find these things on the net too. One of my teachers at Latrobe University (Melbourne) Said you got to sleep in English, think in English, eat in English and then you can imporve your skills. Difficult...? Naaaaa I was just kidding. Try to do all these, it helped me to get on with it. Good luck and all the BEST!!!!
Thanks and take care Sunvee. |

Dear Nazia, writing every days' events is the best way to improv your writing skills and reading more stories as well. I do think, learning a new language takes time, don't worry and don't give up. The best, Mahmoud |

Good morning Nazia. At your existing level of English the advancement to becoming much better is not that far away. Talking is by far the best way to correct any errors that you may have. Native English speakers would soon rectify your problems.
