In the context, quirk means an unusual or odd personality trait or behavior.

There was a question posted for this test:

However, that test-taker's question has now been deleted, so my comment is in this thread instead.

In the test above, the target words in questions 7, 8 and 10 are generally written as one word rather than as two separate words. In other words, these words are normally written this way:
7. sandcastles
8. sandman
10. sandbags

In the test, however, they appear as separate words.
Just wanted to let you know.
