On a more general note, I'm not sure a collection of unannotated googles will be of much use to ESL students here; why not post your thoughts on the grammatical aspects of the construction?

I guess if can understand the use of "so" as synonymous with "in that state" and "state" as a sometimes synonym of "way" (remain (in) that way), they won't have much trouble understanding the state of "is a teacher".

The word/s "Pro-form" is/are good enough for me. If you want to lose sleep and the lining of your stomach over what you call the grammatical aspects, do so. I'm off to bed and will remain so warm there until morning.
