@teachers: Please help me correct the errors of my piece of writing :)

Some people think that the automobile has improved modern life. Others think that the automobile has caused serious problems. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Automobile is one of the most significant achievements of mankind in modern history. The influences of this invention on communities have been subject to severe debates. A number of opinions claim that the vehicle has been damaging the world. Nevertheless, I am personally convinced that despite certain drawbacks, car has been actually improving human lives.

The very first reason for my perspective is the fundamental function of automobile to satisfy people’s demand for movement. Whereas other means of transportation such as motorbike or aircraft could only be utilized for either short or long distances, individuals are able to travel by this four-wheeled vehicle to almost all places. Whether that is a housewife who is tempted to get to the nearby downtown for shopping, a son who would like to visit his parents dwelling in a faraway province or a group of tourists who desire to take a pan-Europe trip, automobile proves to be an appropriate mover. Indeed, car is able to fully satiate persons’ need for road traveling.

Another benefit brought about by car is the vehicle’s substantial economic contribution. Automobile undoubtedly represents the primary component of the transportation system which is the backbone of almost all economies in the world. For example, the transportation of raw materials, goods etc. among localities, which makes vital sense to a national economy, is largely contingent on numerous trucks running round the clock on the country’s roads. The economic successes of a number of nations are also ascribed to the effective use of car. The swift economic growth of the US in the early 20th century, for instance, was chiefly attributed to the construction of the country’s inter-state highway system that facilitated the movement of automobiles nationwide. Actually, the use of vehicle proves to be an indispensable factor in nearly all economies.

In conclusion, automobile not only meets people’s sticky demand for movement but also plays a crucial role in economic development. Thus, the significance of vehicle would probably intensify unabatedly in the coming years.
