Hi Torsten,

I´m preparing for the toefl because I have plans to take my major in an american university, and taking the toefl it is like a label telling for everyone that I have fluency to speak, listen, writing in English. But I need more experience with English language, or with grammar, structure ...those are my weak parts in English... If you want give some advise how can I improve my English,,, please fell confortable to tell me...

Hi Gerson,

What do you want to study in the US? How much time do you spend listening and reading every day? If you want to improve your English, you need to increase your exposure to the language. Listen to audio recordings that are interesting to you and read the as much as you can about your subject. If you like, you read this thread which might have some answers to your questions.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Torsten

In independent clause is a complete sentence. What particular sentence do you have difficulty with? It's often much more effective to focus on the information of a text rather than on isolated grammar items.
