Hello,

'I can't tell you if it's a good buy or not as I don't know anything about computers.'

Not ....................... advise you whether to buy it or not. (idea)

The word in the brackets is not to be changed and has to be used. You may use from three up to eight words, so that the sentence conveys the same meaning.

I cannot come up with anything. Help me, please.

Best regards

My two cents:

Not knowing anything about computers, I have no idea to advise you whether to buy it or not. (idea)

That's the only answer I can think of, but I personally find it a bit awkward with "no idea to advise you..."

Best wishes
Nessie

I suppose whoever wrote the exercise might be looking for a sentence like this:
Not having any idea about computers, I cannot advise you whether to buy it or not.

(Since the original sentence refers to 'a good buy', perhaps the author of the exercise would be happier with 'computer prices' instead of 'computers'.)
