Hello,
My name is Liliana and I am from Peru. I'm married and I have three adolescent children, so as you can see I'm an adult with some life experience.

I'm very pleased for joining this forum, It's the first time I join a forum and I would like to be an active member. My English is good because of my job. I have to read, write, listen, and speak English every day but I don't have any contact with native speakers and I neither have opportunities to travel to English speaking countries; that's why I'm trying to make contact with people who can help me and to whom I can humbly help.

I have received three lessons but they are very basic. Do you think you can send me more advance grammar topics? I have some problems with conditionals, past perfect, phrasal verbs and two word verbs as well as vocabulary related to specific topics as education, business and the environment.

Thanks a lot for your help.
Sincerely,

Liliana

Sue's daily activities :-) #109 (permalink) Tue Aug 05, 2008 2:34 am   Sue's daily activities :-)

Hi,

I just could understand that Sue is getting up early,6 :30 and listen to BBC news.
After that, since her workplace is nearby she walks to her office. And usually, she starts work at 8:45 AM and finishes about 5:15 PM.Sue is working for Lodge Financial Company with 9 other colleagues.
She enjoys personal contact with the clients since they are coming from differnt working areas and ages.

Please, feel free to sugest anything related to my reply about Sue,( to long ,or to short or whatever....)so I can improve my reporting :-)

All the best!

I was curious about that, too. On the other hand, she does mention a certain British-German company in the Introduction.

Really I can understand Sue's pronounciation. I'm very happy for this. I'm making your tests. I can make lots of them true. I learn lots of thing with your lessons. Thank you very much. On the other hand I want to ask a question. Could you advise any radio for improve my english? Which activity is the most useful for improving my english Listening music or listening news?

Dear Torsten,

Tests are extremly important for me ,and the exercises are great ones.Every day I feel more and more confident ,so I'm very thankful to you and this online course. Now, I can help my children as well with some easy gramar tasks :-)

There is also one more thing that I would like tyo share with you, today, finaly I can say that the results of the tests I'm taking are not accurate.

I was suspicious about the results every time when I was taking test, but I wasn't sure what is going on.So ,today I had a notebook in front of me and took notes of the circulated/clicked answers.According to the internet results I had answered 7 questions out of 10 correctly and in reality I did 10 correct answers out of 10.This was from today ,otherwise, usually I do some 2-3 mistakes, of course.

I don't know if this idea of leting you know is right one,but it can be frustrating for learners ,as it is for me to " make "the same mistakes every day. Then you think what a stupid head I have ????!!!!

It is not that I am very clever hahahaha but still is frustrating :-)

Respectfully yours,
Shpresa

Hi Shpresa

If you can post information about exactly which tests are giving you incorrect responses, it will be easier to fix them.

Meanwhile, give yourself a few well-deserved pats on the back. Your English sounds pretty good! You've done very well with your self-study.
