Hello

I finished to hear the lessons of Sue Darville.

It was very interesting.

But I am always surprised by that : your courses for beginners are written or spoken in English. You explain very well how to learn.
But if you don't speak english how do you do ?

It's not my case. And I can revised, I need it. My english is very poor.

Sue Darville is right when she says : listen in english every day.

I read and I listen every day. If you want to speak or to undestand is the only and the best way.
A key for a beginner : Choose an actor or an actress and watch his or her films;
Save subtitles : you see and you hear in the same time.
And you watch again, again and again.
And a day, in another film you recognize a word then another word. It's marvellous.
And you continue beause you love to learn english.

Dear Torsten,
can you correct my message, please? I need to learn and you are a good teacher
thanks very much

Hello, My name is Calogero (Lillo for everybody) and I'm from Agrigento in Italy. I'm a petty officer of the Italian Navy and I'm 43 years old. I'm married and . I’m married and the name of my wife is Nunziatina that means “Nancy”. She is a housewife and is a bit younger than me. We have got two daughters, the oldest is 14 years old and her name is Chiara; the youngest is 5 years old and her name is Martina Maria: they are very lovely. My favorite job is building electronic gadget like radio receiver, alarm kit etc. I'm in according with what Claudine has written and in effect, after listening the very interesting lesson by Sue Darville, I'm trying both to listen and to watch some movies in english spoken and slowly, watching by watching, I feel my english listening "improve and increase". I thanks a lot Mr. Torsten in order of is wonderful work made by this website and I pray him to signal all of my mistakes done in this text. Best regards to all community.

Hi Torsen,

I have done with my lesson 3 "daily job activities"

Thanks for this..

Here goes my answer:

1. sue works for large financial company.

2. she usually starts to work at 8.45

3. she enjoys personal contact with her client, because they come from all walks of life and are all ages.

Torsen,

But exactly what is meaning of this "they come from all walks of life and are all ages.
"
Is it for mentioning that they have lot of experience?

Kindly clarify.

Dear Torsten, I've forgotten to answer at your questions about lesson 3, so now I try to give them as follow:
- Sue Darville works for a financial company and she usually start at work at 08.45 a.m.;
- She enjoy the personal contact with her client because "they come from all walks of life and are all ages" (exactly quoted): but, can you explain what means that strange sentence?

thanks a lot and best regards by Lillo.
