Hello everybody. My name is Dmytro and I'm 55. I'm from Ukraine and live in the city Lviv. Less than two years ago my cousin Sandy had found me by the Red Cross. We did not know one other before. Her father and my mather were a brother and sister. Sandy started to find her father or somebody from relatives when she had has 17. But passed 40 long years while she had found me. We are kinsfolk now. Sandy and her husband Roy live in London. She does not know Ukrainian and I have to learn and improve my English for our communication.
Thank you for your lessons, Torsten. It's very helpful.

Hi Torsten,

I received your email lesson number 3, thank you ! However the first lessons you sent seem to be for beginners, they are too simple for me. I'm good at grammar, reading, writing...here you might consider me as advanced learner. Regarding listening, speaking, English idioms and Business English, I think I'm still at intermediate level.
I'm a Vietnamese citizen actually living in Italy. I've ever worked in International context with people from all over the world (via email, by phone or also directly in person) and managed quite well all types of conversations. However I understand that it's easy to talk or write about topics in your specific professional field. I'm testing myself here in your website and realized that I still need to work hard in order to reach a really good general english level. You will help me, will you ?
I have been once in London and found myself great in that multiracial & multicultural city : nobody is foreigner there ! I really would like to visit your country again, not only London but also other places, the countryside,...

Good night by now !

Huong.

Hi, Torsten! How are you?Thank you for helping me with English.I answered test end/finish with 7/10.I'm not satisfied, I prefer always have 10/10.As you taught us, I started my english with listening audio stories for children after I read your articles about average/winning student ( which I consider very interesting). When I wake up I switch my storie and I listen to it, and it's a great pleasure for me!!!I think that English luanguage will be my second love after French.
Best reagard.

Xin chao!
Most of Vietnamese people say "Xin chao" when they want to start their conversation or express their salutation. However, it is now replaced by "Hi" or "Hello". Obviously, English is developing all over the world and becomes international language.
Bewaring of its importance by myself, I have tried my best to learnt English since 2004. In fact, I studied English in an English Center in which most of teachers are Vietnamese. Unfortunately, I can not use English because I am too afraid to speak out a word till now. I can see a big difference in pronunciation between a local teacher and a native speaker. That causes many difficulties as talking with foreigners.
I really wish that I can improve English better and better. I want to speak English fluently and use it as a useful tool in oversea travelling.
By the way, I want to say thank Laura, a member of ESL forum. Her posting reminded me of patience and interest in learning English. I deeply impressed by her strength and beautiful soul!
