Hello there I’m Bogdan, I’m Polish and probably I’m the oldest man on the forum and on the course, because I’m 50. I learn English because I have to know this language. In my country it’s more and more difficult maintain a job or to find a job without knowledge of that language. I hope the course help me with my English. In my age, it’s very hard to learn any language, because when I’ve memorize sth in the evening I don’t remember that in the morning. It’s very awful. I try to learn by translation yours emails and yours MP3 lessons in Polish and next I try to translate these sentences in English. I hope… Well, I have some questions regarding “daily job activities” lesson: 1. what’s the difference between happenings and events, because both have very similar mining or even the same one 2. close by - I understand, that her workplace is very close to her home but when we use “by” 3. to handle the day to day administration – does it mean, for example, that she deals with her daily responsibilities such as secretary’s responsibilities? 4. does “to devise” mean to create? 5. and the last – I don’t understand “they come form all walks of life and are all ages” |

Dear Torsten, I finished my listening lesson. Below are my answers: - Sue works for a large financial company. - She starts work at 8:45am and finishes at 5:15 pm. - Her work place is very nearby her house so she can walk to work. - Her job is doing daily administration for the area manager who manage 10 offices. Besides, she help the coach develop training needs analysis and divide information spreadsheet. - The reason why she loves personal contact is that clients have different jobs and ages. MChau |

Hi
I am wery pleased about the lections, and that is a common truth, the reading is easyier than the speaking. I have _deep_ sight problems, and I use the computer with a screen reader. Usually when I read, I read it with a latin voice, because it is read me the words so as I able to understand . These days I vill change my speech syntetizator to an English voice, and may be it's will better improve my English pronunciation. |

| Good afternoon. Here is the answer on the question if I use any kinds of devices at work. Nowadays it is impossible to work and live without computers. That is why at our office we have all kinds of devices referred to computer - printer, scanner, coper, and the like. They make our work and life easier and faster. |
