A low intermediate student needs to perform simple tasks by telephone(making appointments, confirming orders etc)

..1.Which linguistic functions does he/she need to master?

...2. Which grammatical structures does he/she need to be able to use?

....3. How would you go about introducing/practicing these in class?

Thanks,
Sonnete
