Hi Dewi,
'In that case' is a set expression that means 'if that is true'. 'In that situation' is precise and suggests 'in those particular circumstances' as in: Charlie has no money and in that situation he really has to find a job.

Hi,
Let me try. 'In that situation' suggests the predicament/the circumstances in which he finds himself. 'In that case' suggests ' if that's the reason' or simply 'therefore'.
