Hi

What follows when a person is made to laugh while he is drinking water quickly--I mean, how will water come out of his mouth if such a thing happens?

Would you say the following sentence is correct and natural?

Spoken by a student...

Quote:
He made me laugh; the water gushed out of my mouth and landed on the teacher's jeans.

Many thanks,

Tom

.
I'd use 'spurted'.
