How long do they expect the TOEFL essay to be?

Hi,

I'm a swedish student taking the TOEFL PbT in August. I have some questions concerning the writing part that,

1. As you only have 30 minutes of time, how many words would they expect?
2. Normally, an essay would consist of an introduction, 3 topics and a conclusion. Would they hold it against me if I had only 2 topics? Having 3 seems a bit much to me.
