inevitable open (verb) vs. inevitably open

Hello,

I saw the sentence below on the web:

Opportunity will inevitable open up for me.

At first, I thought it's grammatically wrong: Inevitable, an adjective, cannot modify 'open', an verb, in this sentence. But one of my acquaintances, an English teacher, said there's no problem in the sentence. Why is it possible? He didn't give me enough explanation. Is there anything special on the verb 'open'? How about 'inevitably' instead of 'inevitable'? I'm looking forward to your answer.

I can't myself see a possible meaning with "inevitable". I would take it as a mistake for "inevitably".

I agree with MrP. To me, the use of 'inevitable' in that sentence seems to be a simple mistake -- possibly just a typo. Your suggestion that it should be 'inevitably' is perfect.
