Peer to peer file sharing, copyright violations and photocopying materials? #1 (permalink) Fri Jun 13, 2008 11:02 am   Peer to peer file sharing, copyright violations and photocopying materials?

Hi, where do you stand on peer-to-peer file sharing and other copyright-related activities? To ask the question more specifically: Have you ever downloaded or uploaded any copyrighted materials? If so, are you aware of the copyright situation? Also, as an English teacher, how often do you use photocopied materials in your classrooms? Which of those materials are copyrighted? We have discussed this question before reaching the conclusion that using copyrighted materials is widespread amongst the ESL teacher community and many of the teachers might not even be aware of the fact that strictly speaking they constantly violate international copyrights.

So, what do you make of it?
Thanks,
Torsten
