Hi Lara,

so happy to read about you.

Teaching is not a profession but is a vocation.

Happy to hear a soul that wants to teach and impart knowledge . I believe life is the best teacher and we are all its students, which comes to an end abruptly by death. My name is Xavi sane.

hoping to hear you again. Can I have the pleasure of hearing you again?

Abbreviations and acronym #65 (permalink) Wed Jul 23, 2008 16:25 pm   Abbreviations and acronym

Dear Torsten,
Thank you for sending the lessson No 7. In the last test I got nine correct and this time also I have got nine correct. I have gone throgh the explanation and now Iam very clear about it. But I have some querries regarding abbreviation and acronym.
It says FBI is an abbreviation because it is not made up of the first letter of words and it is only spelled . In the same way Acronym -CSA ( Canadian Standard Association) is also spelled but can it be called as an abbreviation?

Regards
Mallinathan

Hi Lara,

I'm Solange from Belgium. Your English is really good and I think mine is not so good. You'd like to know how to teach a foreign language but when I read your subject it seems to me that you are doing it very well. All that I can say is that you have to practise, to practise and .... to practise.. to listen, to listen and to listen. Yes, I assume this is not new to you but that's how it works. And really I believe your english level is higher than mine. I also believe this comes from your job.

My Englis is worse because in Belgium it is consired as a third language. My mothertongue is French and my second language is Dutch.

Wat I like doing is the following: I love giving Reiki, yoga, reading, walking, watching tv, going to the cinema. I also ski in mountains or on the water. I'm 42 and have got two sons: one is seventeen and the other 13. So, this gives me not much time to spend for me!

That's why I want to back to N Africa again. Please keep contact with me and give me further details of your lovely country.
