Hey folks,

Today will be a memorable day for me. See, it all started off with me heading towards my driver's license exam spot. We all awaited for the examiner to come, surreptitiously craving not to see that face - the name many examinees feared - he had the infamous reputation of a respect instilling person, strictly observing the rules.
He popped on the door - 'Crap!' I blurted out silently, though I really wanted that exact person to examine us. He briefly explained the instructions. Thereafter I waited for four and a half boring hours for my turn to come.
As we proceeded with the examination, I felt more and more ethereal. All nervosity was gone. Until the weather spoilt everything... Hail and rain! This guy was known to use the exact same route on every one of his testing tours. Well, I knew the trace quite well, but the conditions were too bad, floods began to appear in the streets, and we were forced to take a different route. Unfortunately, the roads we took were completely unknown to me - overwhelming panic, which I quickly managed to extinguish. There is no need to mention that those 20 minutes were filled with more tough situations than I had experienced throughout my entire preparation course. Needless to say, I felt as if I had failed. To my greatest surprise, when we finally stopped, he said: "Well, you are a hair piece away from being graded with an unpassing grade, but since I like your driving style, my answer is positive.' You might be thinking joy had overtaken my entity, but I was more like disappointed. Disappointed at him for not confirming his reputation. Or maybe I didn't feel happiness because of another thing that was about to occur later that day - to tell my crush about my feelings. Probably. Smile Well, I was denied.

Priceless experience for me, for the rest of my life.

So, how was your Friday the 13th?

Best regards

Hi SkiIuck

Congratulations on getting your license! I bet the examiner was impressed by the way you handled the adverse weather and driving conditions. The ability to appropriately handle less than optimal conditions is an important factor in being a good driver. It seems the examiner was complimenting you on that.

The worst thing that happened to me on Friday the 13th was that I ordered a sandwich (to go) at a restaurant, and when I finally got around to eating it, I discovered that a third of it was missing. Laughing Shocked
