Hi everybody! Could you tell me, please. Have the expressions: 'We are not permitted to do that ' and 'We are not allowed to do that' the difference in meaning?
Many thanks

Hi Terminator,

There is not much difference between the two expressions - they both mean you mustn't do something. Possibly 'permitted' is a little more formal/official.
