Tom, some people should have subtitles all the time. Watch this Gujarati guy!

Neat!

Jamie, since perhaps I come from Pakistan, the guy was not too difficult for me to understand.

I've shown that video to ESL classes, and I find the Iraqis, Latin Americans and most Europeans see the humor in what's going on. However, the Indians, Pakistanis and Bengalis just stare, not understanding what the problem is, and the other students have to explain it to them.

There's a similar video with the same two guys, called "Sandy Beaches".

By the way, in that music video you linked to, I was amazed at how they used fabrics to create visual effects -- especially when the people had their coats over their heads and were shaking them, and where the two main "characters" are in the middle of a sea of blue dresses. I notice the same use of fabric in other Indian videos. The other interesting thing is the way traditional Indian dance moves are mixed into their movements. On American TV, I see dancers using a lot of simulated sex moves, and it's not the least bit erotic. Men can see these Indian girls using traditional movements, and we've practically got steam shooting from our ears.
