In AmE, both fitting room and dressing room are used. Both are more commonly used than 'changing room', in my opinion (although 'changing room' is also used).
What we do not generally use (in AmE) is the word "cubicle" for this: http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic568.html#80296  _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

Ah! "cubicle", that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot, Amy :) When I came across the word "changing room" today, I was remind of another word with that meaning which I saw somewhere. Now I remember it :P It's in one of the test questions I've done here :)
By the way, perhaps "cubicle" is not used in AmE, but I think it's ok in BrE since I found this in the OALD:
cubicle (noun) a small room that is made by separating off part of a larger room: a shower cubicle ◆ (BrE) a changing cubicle (= for example at a public swimming pool) ◆ (especially AmE) an office / a library cubicle

| In the U.S., a "cubicle" is a work area in an office building that is created with (usually) cloth-covered panels that are about five feet high. If you said you were going to try on a shirt in the cubilce in the US, you'd get a funny look! |

Hello there,
You could also use fitting room (a room in a shop where one can try on clothes before purchase). Not sure if the use of changing room is entirely correct in your situation as changing room (a locker room, usually with showers, for athletes) is usually meant for sports clubs, fitness clubs etc
Best regards,

I think there are quite a number of possible terms here: - fitting room - changing room - changing cubicle - dressing room
