Hi,
I have taken both tests , I got 100 on the TOEFL IBT and 8 on the IELTS,
the TOEFL is more through test than the IELTS,
No doubt in my mind that IELTS is much easier. one thing you have to pay attention to if you decide to go with the IELTS , that is the splling , as this is a major issue to lose score in IELTS, you dont face such an issue with TOFEL.
